ASAE-USAE Travel Scholarship

The ASAE-USAE Travel Scholarship provides funding to association professionals to attend select ASAE educational programs. This scholarship program supports members who are committed to advancing their knowledge, network, and career development in association management, who would otherwise not be able to attend learning events due to a variety of organizational budgetary constraints. Award recipients may work in different industries, functional areas, and size organizations. Funds, awarded annually, are intended to cover travel costs and other incidental expenses to the 2024 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition. The award also includes complimentary registration to the 2024 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition and two additional ASAE in-person educational programs. 

2024 Scholarship Use Intent

The ASAE-USAE Travel Scholarship will be used to cover the cost of travel and other incidental expenses for the 2024 ASAE Annual Meeting and Exposition. ASAE members must submit a letter of support from their employer demonstrating the financial need to attend select ASAE in-person educational events.  

• The scholarship will include complimentary registration to select ASAE in-person educational event, the awardee’s costs for travel, hotel, and meals assuming full attendance at the educational event, and an estimate of expenses based on coach airfare, median-priced hotel from the ASAE room block, standard ground transportation, and meals in keeping with ASAE’s own internal per diem guidelines.  
• Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend an  awards luncheon during ASAE Annual Meeting 
• ASAE will annually review the grant amount and number to be awarded per year based on the location of ASAE  
• Funding for the scholarship awards will be distributed to each recipient’s organization and managed through that organization’s processes.
