Criteria

The ASAE-USAE Travel Scholarship provides funding to association professionals to attend select ASAE educational programs. This scholarship program supports members who are committed to advancing their knowledge, network, and career development in association management, who would otherwise not be able to attend learning events due to a variety of organizational budgetary constraints.

There are 3 Scholarship Recipients who will be awarded $5,000 each in 2024. The criteria in which strong candidates will be selected are: 

• Career level – diversity of experience levels and interest area
• Professional area of expertise – diversity of job types
• Organizational type – diversity of professional, trade, Association Management Company (AMC)
• Organizational size – diversity of small, medium, and large associations
• Demographic data – diversity of age, race, gender, orientation
• Continuing Education Committment – diversity of professional development and engagement experiences

2024 Application Process & Requirements

1.    Applications (and Letter of Support) are to be completed online and must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday, April 12, 2024. 

2.  A letter of support must be received via the online application for your application to be considered. Please see further instructions within the application in the "Letter of Support" section. 

The letter of recommendation must address the organization's budgetary limitations in funding the applicant to attend 2024 ASAE Annual Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio.

 3.   Applications must be complete to be considered. Once application is submitted, ASAE Staff will pre-screen applications for completeness, including receipt of the Letter of Support. Please be sure to review the Eligibility page for guidance on qualifications.

 4.  You should expect to receive a confirmation/acknowledgment of receipt of your application and pending review, after you submit. 

 5.  Applicants will be notified of results via email, by June 28,2024.
